Following the successful trial of a Foltex AT230 back in April, the White Knight Laundry in Reading proceeded with an order for a further two machines, delivered and installed in July.

The Reading laundry has benefited from a major investment in plant and machinery over the last year, including steamless processing equipment and automation, which has led to a drastic improvement in production efficiency and lower energy costs.

A “Full Dry” bag system and network of conveyors deliver in the region of 2000 mixed sized towels per hour (circa 800kgs) to the three towel folders which auto-grade each towel by size, make the appropriate folds, stack according to programme and discharge to a rear conveyor for checking, labelling and packing.
